Lore

The Solar Lions Heavy Weapons Infantry represent the Order’s most disciplined and devastating line troops. Each Lion carries a dawn‑forged heavy weapon — radiant cannons, reliquary‑grade beam projectors, or sun‑burst launchers — all powered by solar‑tempered cores harvested from the Order’s orbital bastions.

These Lions are selected from triads that have already proven unbreakable under pressure. Their armor is reinforced with dawn‑crests and radiant plating, allowing them to stabilize weapons normally reserved for vehicle mounts. When they deploy, the battlefield shifts: shadows shorten, enemy lines buckle, and the air hums with solar charge.

Where Tactical Infantry hold the line, Heavy Weapons Infantry define it. They are the moment the enemy realizes the Lions did not come to negotiate — they came to end the fight.

⚔️ Tactical Doctrine

The Solar Lions Heavy Weapons Infantry operate under the radiant doctrine known as Solar Anchor, a battlefield philosophy forged in the orbital bastions and refined across centuries of void‑front warfare. Their role is simple to describe and terrifying to witness: they bring overwhelming precision fire to any front where the light of the Lions must burn brightest. When these Lions advance, corridors, breach points, and open fields fall under radiant suppression, the air shimmering with sustained solar fire that pins enemies in place and carves safe lanes for advancing triads. Each Pride moves as a single decision — one Lion anchoring the firing line, another tracking targets through smoke and void‑static, and a third advancing with the calm certainty of dawn itself. Their helms are fitted with void‑calm targeting filters, allowing them to see through psychic haze and battlefield distortion as if it were morning fog.

On the battlefield, Heavy Lions are not subtle, quiet, or fast. They are inevitable, the moment the enemy realizes the Solar Lions did not come to negotiate the terms of the engagement. They came to define them.

Scenario Hook

A frontier relay station goes dark — its beacon flickering in a pattern older than the Crown Wars. When the Solar Lions arrive, they find the station half‑buried in radiant ash, its corridors humming with residual energy.

The Tactical Infantry secure the perimeter.
The Heavy Weapons Infantry descend into the lower vaults.

Something is feeding on the station’s fusion core.
Something that should not exist.
Something that reacts violently to light.

The Lions must decide whether to purge the vault, stabilize the core, or follow the creature deeper — because the next pulse of the beacon is not a distress call.
It’s a warning.
