Description

Narrative Beat

Imperial Spearmen don’t just hold the line—they are the line.

Lore

The Imperial Human Spearmen form the disciplined phalanx core of the High Crown Dominion’s armies. Trained from youth in shield‑wall discipline, spear‑rank rotation, and formation cohesion, they represent the Dominion’s oldest and most reliable battlefield tradition. Their armor—steel plate over quilted gambesons—marks them as professional soldiers, not levied militia.

Each Spearman carries the Dominion’s signature ash‑wood spear, reinforced with iron bands, and a tower‑kite shield designed to interlock with neighboring shields. Their silhouette is intentionally IP‑safe, grounded in classic fantasy human archetypes: steel helms, layered plate, and clean historical lines.

They embody the faction’s ethos: order, discipline, formation warfare, and battlefield control.

Tactical Role

Imperial Spearmen serve as frontline formation infantry, ideal for commanders who need:

shield‑wall stability to anchor the battleline
anti‑cavalry reach with long spears
phalanx control to hold choke points
formation synergy with swordsmen and crossbowmen
objective durability in contested zones

They are the Dominion’s most dependable infantry—slow to break, quick to reform, and essential to any combined‑arms strategy.
