Northern Despoilers - Harpies

Harpies are corrupted sky‑fiends spawned in the frozen cliffs, toxic caverns, and ritual pits of the Northern Despoilers. Their bodies twist with unstable mutations — elongated talons, bone‑spurred wings, extra eyes blinking from their temples, and voices that crackle with corrupted magic. Their feathers are patchy and frost‑scarred, their limbs unnaturally jointed, and their silhouettes resemble nightmares that took up aerial hobbies.

Some Harpies retain a humanoid outline, others resemble twisted carrion birds, and a few defy polite description entirely. All share the same origin: Despoiler alchemy, ritual corruption, and the faction’s gleeful disregard for natural anatomy.

Harpies embody the Northern Despoilers’ identity in feral aerial brutality, corrupted biology, and terror‑driven battlefield disruption.

Harpies excel in aerial harassment, flanking disruption, terror projection, and fast skirmish assault, making them indispensable for commanders who rely on speed and chaotic pressure. Their shrieking dives break enemy morale, their talons shred vulnerable targets, and their unpredictable flight paths make them ideal for hunting archers, mages, and isolated units.

Field them when you need a unit that screams like a storm, strikes like a bad omen, and turns the sky into a hazard zone across any system‑neutral fantasy ruleset.
