Narrative Beat
The Rodent Swarm arrived early—mostly because when you’re made of a hundred tiny opinions moving in the same general direction, punctuality becomes less a choice and more a statistical inevitability.
Lore
Rodent Swarms are the living tide of the Ratfolk Warrens: chittering masses of small, fast, and unnervingly coordinated rodents that overwhelm foes through sheer numbers. Known for their ability to slip through cracks, flood tunnels, and gnaw through anything that isn’t blessed or bolted down, these swarms embody classic rat swarm units, fantasy rodent hordes, and tunnel‑born vermin mobs. Their presence signals the warren’s collective will—when the swarm moves, the Warrens move with it.
Tactical Role
Rodent Swarms function as shock‑tide skirmishers, overwhelming enemies with massed attacks, disruption, and attrition. They excel at screening, harassment, and objective clogging, forcing opponents to waste time and resources on units that simply keep coming. Commanders field them when they need cheap swarm pressure, tunnel‑flooding vermin, or morale‑breaking attrition units across any fantasy system.
