Reptilian City-States — Reptilian Fire Lizards

With the kind of volatile enthusiasm only creatures born of volcanic vents can muster, the Fire Lizards skitter into position—embers flickering along their crests, heat shimmering in the air, and the unmistakable sense that something fast and incendiary is about to happen.

Lore

The Reptilian Fire Lizards are swift, heat‑born predators raised in the fumaroles and basalt caverns that lie beneath the City‑States. Their bodies carry ember‑veins that glow when agitated, and their crests are etched with ritual markings that identify their hatchery lineage. Fire Lizards serve as living symbols of the faction’s volcanic heritage, embodying the raw, elemental energy that shaped the earliest reptilian polities. Their silhouette—low stance, flared crest, ember‑lit scales—anchors the faction’s fast‑attack reptilian SEO, giving City‑State armies a creature that feels both ancient and volatile.

Tactical Role

The Fire Lizards operate as rapid disruptors and shock‑skirmish beasts, ideal for darting through terrain, harassing enemy lines, and creating openings for heavier reptilian units. Commanders rely on them for speed, sudden pressure, and unpredictable movement, using their volcanic temperament to destabilize enemy formations. Their agility and heat‑driven aggression make them a defining element of combined‑arms City‑State doctrine, especially in forces that blend phalanx discipline with beast‑driven momentum.
