Narrative Beat
In a moment best described as “statistically improbable yet somehow inevitable,” the Orbital Knights Heavy Weapons Infantry arrived—carrying enough firepower to make the universe reconsider its stance on cause and effect.
Lore
The Orbital Knights Heavy Weapons Infantry are the voidborne ordnance specialists of the Knightly Orders, renowned for their ability to turn narrow corridors, starship hulls, and cratered battlefields into precision‑controlled kill zones. Drawn from the armored bastions orbiting the Aurelian Sphere, these troops train in micro‑gravity firing chambers where recoil becomes a navigational hazard rather than an inconvenience. Their signature reinforced plate—etched with ion‑scored sigils—marks them as the elite gunners who stand firm where lesser infantry would buckle. Across sci‑fi wargaming and classic space‑opera settings, they remain iconic for their disciplined volleys and armor‑cracking firepower.
Tactical Role
The Orbital Knights Heavy Weapons Infantry operate as long‑range fire support, ideal for commanders who need stable, high‑output units capable of suppressing enemy formations or cracking armored targets. Their heavy ordnance platforms excel at anchoring firing lanes, controlling corridors, and providing decisive ranged pressure in any system‑neutral sci‑fi ruleset. Field them when you require a dependable backbone unit that can hold ground, deny movement, and deliver sustained, armor‑punching volleys.
