Narrative Beat
The Ogres of the Warrens stomped into formation with great enthusiasm—an effect somewhat diminished when one of them proudly announced he had remembered not to eat the banner this time.
Lore
Ratfolk Ogres are towering brutes adopted, bribed, or occasionally tricked into serving the Warrens, hulking allies whose strength compensates for the ratfolk’s general lack of it. Known for smashing obstacles, hauling shrine‑engines, and obeying orders with surprising loyalty (provided snacks are involved), they embody classic ratfolk ogre units, fantasy tunnel giants, and subterranean brute infantry. Their crude armor, scavenged clubs, and semi‑trained discipline make them both terrifying and oddly endearing additions to the warren’s forces.
Tactical Role
Ogres serve as heavy melee shock infantry, delivering raw impact, high durability, and tunnel‑breach capability. They excel at breaking defensive lines, absorbing enemy fire, and anchoring aggressive pushes where brute force is required. Commanders field them when they need ratfolk heavy ogres, tunnel‑breaker brutes, or high‑impact melee monsters across any fantasy system.
