Narrative Beat
The Rolling Church rumbled into view with all the solemn dignity of a holy procession—if holy processions were powered by squeaky wheels, questionable engineering, and an enthusiastic choir of rodents who had definitely not rehearsed.
Lore
The Rolling Church is a mobile shrine‑engine revered throughout the Ratfolk Warrens, a clattering fusion of relic racks, incense pipes, and devotional machinery pushed (or dragged) by devoted acolytes. Known for its unpredictable blessings, ritual noise, and tendency to spark minor electrical miracles, it embodies classic ratfolk religious constructs, fantasy mobile shrines, and tunnel‑born techno‑ritual engines. Wherever it rolls, morale rises, enemies falter, and the Warrens’ peculiar brand of faith echoes through the stone.
Tactical Role
The Rolling Church functions as a support and aura engine, boosting nearby units with morale surges, ritual enhancements, and disruptive holy‑noise effects. It excels at buffing battleline infantry, anchoring tunnel pushes, and creating localized zones of spiritual chaos that weaken enemy resolve. Commanders field it when they need ratfolk support constructs, mobile shrine units, or morale‑amplifying battlefield anchors across any fantasy system.
