Narrative Beat

With the kind of alert, reed‑rustling readiness only swamp‑trained skirmishers possess, the Light Infantry slip into position—bows raised, blowguns primed, and the unmistakable hush of City‑State ambush doctrine settling across the table.

Lore

The Light Infantry are the agile skirmishers of the Reptilian City‑States, drawn from marsh scouts, jungle outriders, and reed‑armored hunters who serve as the faction’s eyes and ears. Known for their lightweight gear, bone‑tipped projectiles, and reed‑woven charms, they embody the adaptive, terrain‑driven warfare that defines the scaled polities. Their silhouette—lean frames, ranged weapons, and minimal armor—anchors the faction’s classic fantasy skirmisher SEO, making them essential for any City‑State force.

Tactical Role

The Reptilian Light Infantry excel in harassment, screening, and ambush‑driven battlefield control. Commanders field them when they need fast, flexible troops capable of exploiting terrain, disrupting enemy formations, and supporting phalanx advances with ranged pressure. Their mobility and ranged reach make them indispensable in system‑neutral fantasy mass‑battle, especially on boards with dense terrain or flanking lanes.
