The Chivalric Kingdoms assure you the full tale is imminent; the Veteran Knights simply arrived early because when you’ve survived enough campaigns to have opinions about siege weather, punctuality becomes a matter of habit.
Veteran Knights are the seasoned, battle‑hardened nobles and retainers who have served the Chivalric Kingdoms through decades of war, quests, border skirmishes, and ceremonial duels. They are not as radiant or mythic as the Elite Knights, nor as sky‑blessed as the Pegasus Orders — but they are the iron backbone of the knightly host.
Their armor is master‑crafted but worn with honor: polished steel bearing scars of past victories, tabards faded from sun and frost, and heraldic crests that have seen more campaigns than most commanders. Their destriers are powerful, disciplined mounts trained for endurance and precision rather than flashy heroics.
Their weapons reflect their long service:
-
Oath‑Forged Longswords
-
Veteran Knight‑Lances
-
Heavy Arming Spears
-
Battle‑Hammers of the Old Court
Veteran Knights embody the Chivalric Kingdoms’ identity in experienced discipline, noble resilience, and heroic battlefield reliability.
Veteran Knights excel in armored charges, disciplined melee, formation anchoring, and heroic intervention, making them indispensable for commanders who rely on dependable cavalry and seasoned battlefield judgment.
Use them to:
-
Deliver reliable shock charges
-
Anchor cavalry wings with disciplined formations
-
Support Elite Knights with experienced flanking maneuvers
-
Hold objectives with noble resolve
-
Serve as the dependable core of any knightly warhost
They turn a chivalric army from “inspiring” into “unstoppably seasoned.”
