Chivalric Kingdoms — Trebuchet

Trebuchets are the crown‑sanctioned siege engines of the Chivalric Kingdoms — towering wooden war machines built in the Dawnspire carpentry halls and reinforced with iron bands, sun‑etched runes, and enough rope to terrify any quartermaster.

Operated by trained engineers, household guards, and the occasional enthusiastic peasant, these engines hurl massive stones, firepots, blessed projectiles, and (in one famous incident) a knight’s armor chest that had been misplaced during a feast.

Each Trebuchet is a symbol of noble engineering:

• Sun‑Forged Counterweights for maximum range

• Reinforced Throwing Arms carved from royal timber

• Heraldic Banners marking the noble house funding the machine

• Blessed Ammunition Crates prepared by court chaplains

Trebuchets embody the Chivalric Kingdoms’ identity in precision, discipline, and devastating battlefield reach.

Trebuchets excel in long‑range bombardment, objective denial, siege dominance, and battlefield shaping, making them indispensable for commanders who rely on structured formations and overwhelming artillery support.

Use them to:

• Break enemy fortifications

• Disrupt elite infantry formations

• Force enemy cavalry to reposition

• Support knightly charges with pre‑impact bombardment

• Control the battlefield from a safe, noble distance

They turn a knightly army from “heroic” into “heroic with very large rocks.”
