Description

Narrative Beat

Skirmish Infantry don’t wait for the battle to begin—they start it.

Lore

The Imperial Human Skirmish Infantry are the High Crown Dominion’s agile forward troops, trained in the border‑schools where mobility, terrain use, and rapid engagement define every drill. Unlike the Dominion’s heavy formation units, Skirmishers operate in loose ranks, striking quickly before melting back into cover.

Each soldier carries a light spear or short sword, paired with buckler shields and quiver‑mounted javelins. Their armor—leather‑reinforced gambesons with steel accents—marks them as professional light infantry capable of moving fast without sacrificing protection.

Their silhouette is intentionally IP‑safe, grounded in classic fantasy archetypes: light shields, javelins, short blades, and mobile stances. They embody the Dominion’s ethos of discipline, adaptability, and battlefield initiative.

Tactical Role

Imperial Skirmish Infantry serve as light harassment and maneuver troops, ideal for commanders who need:

rapid flank pressure
hit‑and‑fade harassment
javelin volleys to soften enemy lines
terrain‑adaptive mobility
screening units for heavier formations

They are the Dominion’s quickest infantry—never meant to hold the line, always meant to shape it.
