Narrative Beat
The Energy Cannons hummed to life with a dramatic rising whine—an impressive moment slightly spoiled when one gunner asked if anyone remembered to tighten the “important‑looking bolt.”
Lore
Energy Cannons are the Ratfolk Warrens’ most dangerously innovative ranged constructs, cobbled together from scavenged coils, cracked crystals, and whatever conductive scrap the tinker‑clans can find. Known for their volatile discharge, tunnel‑filling light bursts, and tendency to melt anything placed too close, they embody classic ratfolk energy weapons, fantasy techno‑vermin artillery, and subterranean arc‑cannon units. Their presence turns cramped tunnels into flickering kill‑zones where the Warrens’ ingenuity shines—sometimes literally.
Tactical Role
Energy Cannons serve as high‑impact ranged disruptors, delivering powerful energy blasts that pierce formations, scorch armored targets, and deny key choke points. They excel at mid‑range fire support, anti‑elite pressure, and area denial where their unstable output becomes a tactical advantage. Commanders field them when they need ratfolk energy artillery, arc‑cannon tunnel control, or high‑damage ranged units across any fantasy system.
